Our School

The Internationales Kulturinstitut (IKI) was founded in 1981 by a group of German teachers as a non-profit educational institute.

Today, IKI is one of the most respected language schools in Vienna, specializing only in teaching German as a foreign language. Every month, 250 to 350 students come from all over the world to attend our courses.

Every year we run programs in conjunction with the Universities of Washington (UW) and North Carolina State (NC State).

IKI is an official examination centre for the Österreichisches Sprachdiplom (ÖSD). Our courses are approved by the Österreichischer Integrationsfonds and the City of Vienna.
